Los mayas pronosticaron desde hace milenios el fin del mundo en el año 2012. Hoy nos encontramos ante el trascendental problema del Calentamiento Global originado por una sobreproducción de carbono, entre otras cosas.
En la pintura encontramos un filtro de aire usado de un automóvil, una cuenta regresiva desde el 01/ 01/ 2001 al 12/ 12/ 2012, así como el símbolo maya para el ser humano, donde empieza un circuito que todo lo conecta, nos recuerda que el tiempo se acaba.
From the Series: Presents from the Global Empire
Two thousand years ago, the Mayas predicted the end of the world in the year 2012. Today we face the transcendental problem of the Global Warming caused by an overproduction of carbon among other things.
In this painting we find a salvage car air filter, a countdown going from 01/ 01/ 2001 up to 12/ 12/ 2012 and the Mayan symbol for a human being, hence begins a circuit that connects all, which reminds us that time is running out.
